    If I'm reading correctly, the Patent dates shown on the back read October 18, 1892, and March 7, 1893, making this pin one of the earliest pins produced by The Whitehead & Hoag Co, which was founded in 1892.
    If anyone can tell me the significance of the 2 overlapping flags, even if you're not interested in purchasing the pin, please message me.
    Lots of defects on this pin.  You can see a significant stain plus a lot of loose glitter inside.  One side of the safety pin needs re-soldered.  The wording below the flags is almost completely faded away.  Other defects can be found in the photos.
