    Description

    This black, brown, and blue 10 Japanese yen banknote was part of the series of banknotes produced by the Bank of Japan during the Second World War. Its obverse side shows a portrait of Wake no Kiyomaro, an 8th century nobleman and adviser of Emperor Kanmu. Its reverse side shows a view of Goo Shrine in Kyoto. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of Japan 10 in kanji. The dimensions of the note are 142 mm by 81 mm.
