    Serial no A15649
    The unit powers up, and the weighted spindle lifts and lowers. When I put a piece of paper under it, the dial does indeed register just below the -2- so I am assuming it works.
    When it turns on there is a light "clicking motor" sound and the dial arm spins around precisely 1-1/4 times, and then returns to "0" position if there is nothing set underneath. It does this repeatedly.
