    Description

    WWII Japanese 10 Yen Banknote, Issued Nov 1, 1944, Showa Era 1926-1989(Reign of Emperor Showa, Hirohito.
    Obverse: Black on Purple. Hakko Ichiu monument on left side. Hakko Ichiu means 'all worlds under one roof'. A Japanese political slogan that formed the basis for the empire ideology.  Denomination in all four corners. Red Seal of Finance Ministry.
    Reverse; Purple on cream. Denomination both sides of center.
    Demonetized December 31, 1953.
